Some days you may have a nagging ache in your shoulder or pain in your butt and need to get your body tuned up and back in working order! This session we offer is all about using a variety of modalities that will help address your issues and get you back on track as quickly as possible. Here are some of the different tools we love to incorporate into our sessions. Hypervolt This has become our favorite go-to tool for chronic tension areas. The "gun" has four different attachments and three different speeds to provide a variety of different applications on different parts of the body. The Hypervolt is all about vibration therapy. Basically, the vibration interrupts the pain signals from the nerve so you are able to get deep tissue work done with minimal pain. Kinesio Taping Kinesio Tape is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion. It also helps to prolong the benefits of manual therapy administered within the clinical setting. Sidekick Tool The Sidekick tools release adhesions under the skin from muscle overuse or injuries.  This improves blood flow around the area and consequently your muscles and joints feel looser, lighter and more fluid. Cupping Cupping is a technique that uses small glass cups as suction devices that are placed on the skin to disperse and break up stagnation and congestion by drawing congested blood, energy and/or tension to the surface. Aromatherapy If you need improvement in health problems from anxiety to poor sleep, you may want to consider aromatherapy. In this kind of treatment, you use extracts from plants called essential oils, by either breathing them through your nose or putting them on your skin. These oils are the most potent form of plant medicine. It takes approximately three pounds of lavender flowers to produce just 15mL of lavender essential oil. It requires about 242,000 rose petals to distill approximately 5 mL of rose oil. Reflexology According to the theory, application of pressure to feet, hands, or ears sends a calming message from the peripheral nerves in these extremities to the central nervous system, which in turn signals the body to adjust the tension level. This enhances overall relaxation, brings internal organs and their systems into a state of optimum functioning, and increases blood supply (which brings additional oxygen and nutrients to cells and enhances waste removal). It positively affects the circulatory, respiratory, endocrine, immune, and neuropeptide systems in the body. In summary, we have a wide variety of tools to help you feel your best! These sessions can be done in 30 minutes for a very isolated area or 60 minutes if you would like to get more of a total body tune-up. Another option we offer is 30 minutes to address the area you are having issues with and a 30 minute lesson in self care and what you can do to work on the issue at home too. You can text, call, or email to book a session!
